Jay Hansen is a life-long Rochester resident, graduating from John Marshall High School. Jay received his B.A. from Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1998 and his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law in Dayton, Ohio in 2001. After which he returned to Minnesota and was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar in 2001.
Jay joined the law firm in February 2013. Jay’s transactional real estate practice encompasses a broad range of residential, commercial and agricultural real estate matters. This includes single-family, planned community development, new construction, property owner associations, purchase and sale of undeveloped properties, leasing and multi-family properties. In addition, Jay provides consultation and services to commercial and residential lenders. Jay is also experienced in forming and setting up business entities for our clients.
Jay currently lives in Rochester with his wife Liz and their two children, Grace and Tyler. Jay enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. Jay is also an avid runner and participates in various local runs throughout the year.
